As a child of the Randall Road gang my memories of Caryn are fond and many. Getting our dog Misty from her, climbing through her basement window to get to her amazing greenhouse, the famous street parties and fireworks, her incredible kitchen and food, her generosity and kindness, and most vivid of all, the trips to Shades Mills in the hot Hespeler summers. How I loved them. For some reason, I can picture her floating in the lake – she was so good at it! My kiwi husband and two daughters had the pleasure of meeting her and spending a bit of time with her. We still have and frequently mention the now famous ‘Caryn Kulenkamp blanket’ that she crocheted for our youngest daughter. She was one of the good ones. We will miss her. Our love to her family.
